FIRST WOMAN TO SING RADHARAMAN DUTTA'S SONGS
Shibani Das (b 02-03-1969) d/o Late Rabindra Kumar Das & Late Suniti Das, a singer from Karimganj, Assam, presently living and learning music in Kolkata, has set a National Record for being the first female singer to sing “Vora Jake Kehena”, a Hindi rendering of the original Bengali song “Bhromor Koio Giya” by Radharaman Dutta (1833–1915), an influential Sylheti dhamail music composer and lyricist.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) congratulates Ms Shibani on her commendable achievement and confers this National Record Certificate upon her.
