  9. We believe that everyone should have equal opportunities to excel in their pursuits. However, we acknowledge that physical abilities can vary between individuals based on factors such as gender. In certain categories of record-setting, such as fitness challenges, it is understood that the physiological differences between boys and girls may result in differing performance levels. For instance, while a boy may achieve 60 pushups in one minute, it may not be realistic to expect the same from a girl due to inherent differences in strength and muscle mass. Therefore, our terms and conditions recognize and respect these biological distinctions, ensuring fair evaluation and recognition for all participants regardless of gender.

  36. Northeast Recognition Under the State Record Category:

In addition to the State Record verification process, The Assam Book of Records (ABR) may, at its sole discretion, verify an achievement across all eight states of Northeast India.

Where an achievement is determined to be the highest, fastest, youngest, first, largest, longest, smallest, or otherwise unique within Northeast India at the time of assessment, ABR may acknowledge such distinction by incorporating an appropriate recognition statement in the certificate citation, record profile, or other official publication, including but not limited to statements such as, "This remarkable accomplishment makes him/her the youngest achiever in Northeast India" or "This remarkable accomplishment makes him/her the fastest achiever in Northeast India."

Such recognition is purely a regional distinction and shall not be interpreted as the creation of a separate Northeast Record category. All such recognitions shall continue to be certified exclusively under the State Record category, while the National Record and World Record categories shall remain subject to their respective verification criteria and certification standards.

ABR reserves the exclusive and absolute right to verify, approve, refuse, amend, or withdraw any regional distinction based on the evidence, records, and information available at the time of evaluation or any subsequent review. The decision of The Assam Book of Records shall be final, conclusive, and binding in all matters relating to verification, certification, and regional recognition.

  37. Media Publication and Record Holder Support Policy: The Assam Book of Records (ABR) reserves the sole discretion to publish, promote, or share the achievements of its record holders through its official website, social media platforms, press releases, newsletters, or any other official publications. As a general policy, ABR provides two official publication opportunities to every successful record holder: the first upon the successful registration and confirmation of the record, and the second upon the presentation of the official ABR Record Certificate. These two publications form part of the standard recognition extended to every record holder.

Where a record holder receives recognition from another record organization and the news report, newspaper publication, social media post, or any promotional material features the names, logos, certificates, or recognition of multiple record organizations together, ABR may, at its sole discretion, decline to republish, endorse, or promote such material through its official platforms. This policy is intended to preserve the independent identity, integrity, and branding of Assam Book of Records.

Beyond the standard publication policy, ABR may continue to support, recognize, and promote the achievements of its record holders on additional occasions, entirely at its discretion. Preference may be given to individuals who consistently demonstrate good conduct, uphold ethical values, maintain a positive reputation in society, contribute meaningfully to the community, and are not associated with any unlawful or disreputable activities. In extending such support, ABR upholds the principle that "Your Behaviour Is Your Identity." The decision of Assam Book of Records regarding publication, promotion, and continued recognition shall be final and binding.

  38. No local representatives are dispatched to verify a record. Therefore, we will delegate verification responsibilities to representatives from other locations and districts. This rule is followed to preserve the authenticity of the record.

  39. Notice about our awards: An ABR record certificate comes with a Gamusa, a memento, and a Japi. Kindly note that we change our mementos occasionally to protect against duplication and remind ourselves of the award distribution venue. It is also because of reasons such as the non-reliability of the data saved on the computer.

  40. After Assam's pride, ‘Gamusa," received the Geographical Identification (GI) tag, the state government mandated the use of handloom gamusa only, so currently, we are not going to include the Gamusa in our certificate package. Additionally, the ‘Japi’ won’t be included as we’re going to have it made on a fully traditional basis. So right now, we are only providing a certificate of a particular size and frame. Japi and Gamusa will be provided only on very special occasions.

  41. Members-Only Platform: The Assam Book of Records (ABR) operates as a members-only platform. Payment of the prescribed registration fee constitutes acceptance of membership and signifies the applicant's voluntary agreement to abide by the Constitution, Rules & Regulations, Policies, Terms & Conditions, and all official decisions of ABR, as amended from time to time. Membership grants access to record application and related services provided by ABR. By becoming a member, the applicant acknowledges that all matters relating to membership, record verification, certification, publications, and associated services shall be governed exclusively by the rules, policies, and procedures of The Assam Book of Records. Any person who is not a member of ABR shall have no rights, privileges, or standing to claim membership benefits or challenge matters that are exclusively governed under the internal rules and policies of The Assam Book of Records.

  42. All financial transactions, both incoming and outgoing, must be completed within a timeframe of 10 days. Any transactions exceeding the specified timeframe will not be eligible for any discounts previously promised.
