FIRST PERSON TO MAKE A FOLDING JAPI (A HAT)

Rupankar Bhattacharjee (b 08-01-1998) of Rehabari, Guwahati (Assam) has come up with a great concept of a mobile folding Japi which will enhance the portability feature of Japi leading to a tremendous worldwide reach. The Japi is a traditional headgear from Assam which is conventionally used by farmers and cowherds as a protective hat against sun and rain and is also used as a cultural welcoming token.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) registers this record on 10th of April 2020 and confirms that this Japi is the first of its kind in the state and declares Mr Bhattacharjee a State Record holder.
