Kapil Baruah (31-12-1992) of Lakhimpur, Assam has set a national record for making a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi measured 90 cm x 90 cm in 7 hours by using 3120 iron nails at his place on 24th of October 2020. He has made this portrait without using any graphs or lining. The Assam Book of Records (ABR) states that it is the fastest portrait made using 1 inch iron nails.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) accepts this new creativity and places Mr Kapil's name in its National Record category.
