SYMBOLIC JAPI AND SARAI MADE OUT OF WASTE

Mousum Sonowal (b 01-07-1990), son of Luhit Sonowal of Jokai Kalioni, Na-Gaon, PIN 786003, Dibrugarh, Assam, has established a record for making 17,000 Japi and 1,000 Sarai on a banner for his Junak Art Academy with 70 kids of all ages in 3400 hours in 8 months using leftover thermocol. It's a symbolic Japi and Sarai, according to Mousum, constructed for the public to exhibit how to make the best out of waste and proper garbage management while without diminishing the value of the genuine Japi and Sarai.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) recognises and praises his abilities and lists him among the state’s records.
