LONGEST CYCLING WITHOUT TOUCHING THE HANDLEBARS
Dr. Manjit Dihingia (Hon) (b 20-12-1985), a police officer in Assam, and the son of Tankeswar Dihingia of Sonitpur, Assam, has established a record for riding 80 km without touching the handlebars on a bicycle while playing Assamese musical instruments such the Dhol, Pepa, and Taal. On August 21, 2016, he cycled from Gohpur to Jamugurihat, Kusumtola, Sonitpur, Assam.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) recognises his efforts and lists his name in the state records category.
