Mrs. GItali Sharma of Kalugaon, Sivasagar, is a distinguished social worker and a dedicated promoter of Assamese culture. Through her contributions to literature, cultural preservation, and community service, she has established a distinct identity for herself and earned recognition both within Assam and beyond. Adding a feather to her achievements, Ms. Sharma has recently written an arduously long letter titled "Moromor Punakan" that depicts a vivid and realistic portrayal of the current social system. It has also been recognized as the letter with the highest number of words written by a senior citizen, surpassing 2,500 words.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) congratulates her for her unique letter and places her name in its state record category.
