CREATIVE RECORD IN NEEDLEWORK
Lukumoni Gogoi (47), headmistress by profession and a resident of Lakhimpur, Assam, has achieved a record for creating 101 words with threads and a needle in 54 hours. The words appear very bold and resemble paintings. She has separately written the state anthem and the national anthem on two Gamusas, which is truly remarkable. The record was established on 8th January 2022.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) appreciates Lukumoni's dedication and focus on her craft and has included her name in its State Record category.
