7,000 WOMEN SET A RECORD WITH THIYANAAM PERFORMANCE
The 97th Howly Raas Festival Celebration Committee achieved a rare feat on 24th August 2025, Sunday at 10 AM, at the Chandi Barua Stadium near the Howly Ras Mandir premises, where a record number of 7,000 women, dressed in identical attire, performed continuous “Thiyanaam” for 25 minutes. On the successful and well-organized completion of this programme, the Assam Book of Records (ABR) extended congratulations and officially recognized it as a State Record. We express our sincere gratitude to the organizers, officials, well-wishers, and the people of Howly for the successful execution of this event.
We hope that in the coming days too, everyone will continue to unite in this way to carry out constructive activities, contribute to the advancement of society and culture, and inspire the younger generation to move ahead in life with innovative thinking.
