Ripunjay Gogoi, son of Nirmali Chetia Gogoi and Biren Gogoi of Guwahati, Assam, set a new record by successfully completing the Double Everesting Challenge. Starting on 13th April 2025, he achieved a total elevation gain of 19,803 meters, covering 758.1 kilometers in 129 hours and 36 minutes at Umling, Meghalaya. He became the one and only person from North East India to conquer this challenge. His determination, stamina, and perseverance have set a new benchmark of excellence in endurance cycling.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) congratulates him on this remarkable accomplishment, recognizes it as a historic milestone, and places his name in its State Record category.
