Under the initiative of the Devi Shakti Socio-Cultural Spiritual Women's Society and the Jorhat Nagar Mahila Samiti, a state record was achieved on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Jorhat Sports Association playground. During the auspicious moment of the holy Mahalaya, 1900 women, all in similar attire, performed the 'Naam' (devotional chanting) of Adyashakti Mahamaya continuously for 35 minutes.

The Assam Book of Records (ABR) recognized this achievement as a State Record and congratulated the organizers. We express our gratitude to all involved and hope the society continues to unite for constructive work to enhance culture and inspire the new generation with innovative ideas.
