MOST WESTERN COUNTRY SONGS COMPOSED AND SUNG
Chandan Jyoti Baishya, son of Hemendra Nath Baishya, a resident of Nabin Nagar, Kamrup Metro, Assam, also known as The Southern Man, has set a record for composing and singing more than 150 Western Country songs and has become the only Indian Western Country Singer from Assam. The record was registered on 28th March 2026. He has also set a record as the first Assamese Western Country Singer to compose and sing Fusion Songs blending Western Country and Modern Assamese music with other artists.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) appreciates his beautiful compositions and tunes, and the unique concept, and places his name in its state record category.
