Nayan Mani Kumar Das (b 29-07-2002), son of Damayanti Das and Aniruddha Das of Basistha Mandir, Guwahati, Assam, has set a new record for completing the fastest solo trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) in Nepal. He achieved this feat without the assistance of a porter or guide, carrying his own backpack throughout his arduous journey. He commenced the trek from Jhinu Danda, Nepal, at 1:30 PM on 15 May 2026 and successfully reached Annapurna Base Camp at 7:07 PM on 16 May 2026, completing the expedition in an impressive time span of 29 hours and 37 minutes.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) hereby recognizes his remarkable endurance, determination, physical fitness, and mountaineering spirit demonstrated through this outstanding achievement, and places his name in its State Record category.
