FASTEST SOLO TREK TO EVEREST BASE CAMP
Nayan Mani Kumar Das (b 29-07-2002), son of Damayanti Das and Aniruddha Das of Basistha Mandir, Guwahati, Assam, has set a new record for completing the fastest solo trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) in Nepal. He commenced the trek from Surke, Nepal, at 7:10 AM on 21 May 2026 and successfully reached Everest Base Camp at 1:37 PM on 23 May 2026, completing the expedition in an impressive time span of 54 hours and 27 minutes. He is also recognized as the first Assamese person to complete a solo trek to Everest Base Camp without a guide, porter, or flight assistance.
The Assam Book of Records (ABR) appreciates his outstanding endurance and determination demonstrated through this achievement and places his name in its State Record category.
