Nayan Mani Kumar Das (b 29-07-2002), son of Damayanti Das and Aniruddha Das of Basistha Mandir, Guwahati, Assam, has set a new record by becoming the first Assamese person to complete solo treks to both Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) and Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) in Nepal without a guide, porter, or flight assistance. He started trekking on 15 May 2026 and completed the expeditions on 23 May 2026. It took him 29 hours and 37 minutes to Annapurna Base Camp and 54 hours and 27 minutes to Everest Base Camp. He further summited Kalapathar (5,644 m) on 24 May 2026 at 10:29 AM after completing both expeditions, achieving the fastest combined completion of Annapurna Base Camp, Everest Base Camp, and Kalapathar under the stated conditions in a total time of 75 hours and 19 minutes.
